Roy Moore lost because of the allegations of misconduct from years ago. Those allegations were supported (not logically but in the minds of the public) by evidence that while he was over 30, he dated teenagers. Even though that would not have been weird in that time and place, combining it with the sex allegations was enough to sink him. It is crystal clear that he would have won but for these allegations. So all the talk today about him being crazy and divisive has very little to do with the actual precipitating cause of his defeat. He hurt himself in a number of ways,
including by the Hannity interview. But he still would have won without the allegations. So for me the lesson is that in future elections we should expect and be prepared for lurid sex-related allegations just prior to Election Day. The second takeaway is that the cause of defeat, which was the sex allegations, had nothing to do with Steve Bannon!

You are right on the money...Steve Bannon is not to blame for the Moore defeat at all. The only person to blame 100%, is Judge, Roy Moore. A GOP Turnout of 50% in such a critical election, is devastating. and who is to blame for that mistake...Judge, Roy Moore.

Donald Trump was holding three to five major campaign stops every day in the last two weeks of the POTUS touching the flesh of voters. Hillary Clinton was resting at home on her laurels, about how great she is. Moore & Clinton are two badly flawed politicians.
