American film was a huge chunk of my homeschooling experience. I've seen everything on that list except "Demetrias" and "Peyton Place." Seen, and often studied them.

You forgot "Picnic" with William Holden and Kim Novak, with the hottest most sensuous dance movements I've ever seen, to "Moonglow" (click here).

Check it out!

To me, Kim was the sweetest spot in the movies of the fifties

and I fell in love with her. It amazes me that your list has not one of her 1950s movies:

o "Picnic" 1955
o "The Man With The Golden Arm" 1955 with Frank Sinatra
o "Eddy Duchin" 1956 with Tyrone Power
o "Pal Joey" 1957 with Frank Sinatra
o "Vertigo" 1958 with James Stewart

and others with A-class stars Frederic March and Kirk Douglas and others.

She was also smart enough to leave H'wood while her star was still bright, and is still pursuing her first love, painting and people, at 84:

(BTW, I've seen all the movies on your list, though a few as later TV re-runs; So where is a real thriller

Bad Day At Black Rock

1955 with Spencer Tracy!!?? Huh?

But thanks for the basic list!
