Couldn't disagree more. Look at the list of the top 20 films of the 2010's again. Where is the graphic sex, drugs, or unspeakable language in those movies?
Around half of them have some violence, granted, but it's quite sanitized. Hardly "horrific".
Classic movies were much better. They concentrated on good stories. They didn't have to resort to this.
Sometimes I think doing away with the Hayes office (an organization which forbade nastiness and filth in movies) was a bad idea.)
