Oh, Stardust Memories. As I recall, the dame in that movie - aside from girlfriend Jessica Harper - was Charlotte Rampling, a grown woman. Not my favorite of his, btw, although he shot it in Ocean Grove, NJ and bought the Methodist community there the large, illuminated cross that now hangs on its magnificent auditorium. When he filmed at the National Arts in Gramercy Park, he bought them a gorgeous awning for the front of the building.
The only laugh I got out of the movie was depressed Woody’s photographic mural in his film apt. of the famous shot of the South Vietnamese guy being shot by a North Vietnamese. Now that’s NYC angst!
