I was possibly generalizing a bit too much in my previous post. The National Security Blanket is certainly misused in Congressional testimony.
But I still believe that Wray was correct in dodging all FISA related questions on National Security grounds. We will find out if Im right if Wray is invited to a closed door session with Congress and is asked those same questions in a classified setting.
Im betting that Wray is honest and will answer honestly.
But I could be wrong. Ive been wrong before. I remember specifically back in 1991 ...
I am not so sure Wray is correct on this because a Manufactured Fraud can in no way be a National Security issue, and National Security can NOT be invoked to cover up a Crime. I understand why and don’t have an issue with his testimony yet. I think Congress needs to demand the President declassify EVERYTHING surrounding this issue, if he refuses, attach a law to the budget forcing the issue.
