Joe comes to ISEP with over ten years of international education experience, including teaching English as a second language in Italy and the U.S., teaching Italian at a private high school in Columbus, Ohio and most recently as Assistant Director of the Kaplan International Center’s English Language Program in Washington, D.C. He began his career pursuing his dream of becoming an opera singer and moved to Italy to study with the legendary Verdian tenor Carlo Bergonzi. He soon realized however that man cannot live on music alone and began teaching English as a second language to supplement his studies. Outside of serenading his colleagues, Joe enjoys cooking, travel, attending the theater, film and playing basketball and tennis.
