I was going to say that I hoped a Russian would beat her but I think I read that tha Russians have been banned for drug use.

Lindsey Vonn doesn’t represent me.
She's not going anywhere, she placed 12th in the downhill last Sunday (.9 sec. behind winner) in Lake Louise.
In the Super G, she had the 2nd fastest training run and had the fastest time when she fell 3/4 of the way down the course.........
There's only one other woman skier on the team that comes close to Vonn and that's Mikaela Shiffrin who will likely be the successor to Vonn on the U.S. Ski team when Vonn retires.
Also keep in mind that Vonn wasn't a factor on last season's World Cup tour due to missing most of the season from a broken arm in November and yet still has the most wins of any woman in World Cup history
She's finally healthy again and based on last weekend's performance, she's going to be a favorite as the season progresses provided she stays injury free.....

If there was one Olympics that I would want Russia at, it would have to be this one. Now that Lindsey has chirped in with her opinion about the President, any action he must take for the safety of the team, will be looked at as backlash to the stupidity of a "sports star", who thinks this is like the NFL and taking a knee could be cool because she's not doing it for Trump. I have skied for more than 50 years. I raced when I was in high school, back when Anna Marie Mosser was unbeatable. I have followed FIS racing ever since. Lindsey has a chance to break Ingimar Stenmark's record this year. She just let Trump in her head. For her own safety from falling due to her own lack of focus she has inflicted on herself, she should be pulled from all FIS speed events until she reconciles with Her President. I don't want to see her turn into an idiot that gets injured over something that's not on the snow.
She probably figures Tiger talked about her covfefe when he golfed with the Donald....
Its been more than 24 hours and the twitter storm against her hasn't let up.
My guess is she'll lose a sponsor or two over this.
