With all due respect to Constantine, the first Christian Roman emperor, he along with his mother, Helen, started the false rumor that Mt Horeb is in the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt, and even may have given Mt Horeb the name “Mt. Sinai.” With that on his record, I’m skeptical that it is the tomb until I learn more.
The Bible clearly tells us Mt Horeb is in the land of Midian, which today is Midyan province in northwestern Saudi Arabia.
