when I was a senior in high school I had a drama teacher who was fresh out of college only 22 years old. her nic name was miss Disney because of actively trying to keep things PG in the class. it was really hard for her because of how close she was to the age of the boys in the class and there were serval that made passes at her. I thought it was funny at the time but now realize that it was a really bad teaching experience for her. she was always concerned with being professional and most of us guys in the class wanted to get into her pants or at least claimed we did.....I think that a teacher should be at least thirty before they are tortured with freshmen sophomores juniors and seniors.
I am a big proponent of separate schools for boys and girls.
Men should teach boys and women should teach girls.
At the very least after age of 10 or 11.
The sexual tension in the room in a mixed class of pubescent children makes the learning environment much more difficult than it needs to be.
Male teachers also have an easier time controlling younger males than do women.
I think the old Catholic School model with Franciscan Brothers teaching the boys was a good one.
