Seems the Bible speaks of at the beginning of the Last Days..earthquakes be in diverse places among a whole lot of really bad things also happening...along with the EQ’s.
If you're using NTPD, you can add a leap seconds file to your configuration.
Download the leap-seconds.list file from http://www.ietf.org/timezones/data/leap-seconds.list. Copy the leap seconds file onto your system running ntpd and add a line to your ntp.conf:
leapfile "/path/to your/leap-file"
You need to restart ntpd to apply your configuration changes.
To keep the file up to date, I'd recommend a cron job that executes on Jun 1, and Dec 1 that will get the file from the above and update the appropriate location.
