CNN) If you've never had a stranger try to touch your hair without permission, you're lucky. You're also probably not a black woman.
A new video game will give you a taste of how frustrating the experience can be.
Creator Momo Pixel designed the game after she was tired of people making unwanted touches of her hair. And other black women are equally tired of undesired touching, which is why the game, released on Wednesday, has gone viral.
It's a conversation that keeps happening, although black women have repeatedly said, "Don't touch my hair." The message has been relayed in the news, in entertainment media and now in video games. Pixel says the message needed to be shared once again "so we don't have to keep having this conversation."
When players enter the video game's website, there's already a black hand swating away a hair toucher's hand.

She remembers trying to explain this phenomenon to her boss, who's white. Pixel is an art director and pixel designer for Wieden+Kennedy in Portland. Her boss tried to imagine what she and other black women experience when people touch their hair without warning.

I have never wanted to touch anyone’s hair, full stop.
People just want to be offended. It’s natural human curiosity, for pete’s sake.
I remember when her Father walked in from work that night. I said, “say hi to your daughter, Bo Derek”. We laughed and she had to look up on the internet just what we were talking about. LOL!
“Pixel, who’s been wearing her hair in vibrant, multi-colored styles since 2011”
She’s inviting reaction/comment imo. The number of black women in Portland could probably fit in a mall food court. No way random white strangers there are touching her hair out of the blue.
Many black women wear wigs. I know we weren’t speaking of their whine about so-called cultural appropriation, but many black women wear blonde or red wigs, usually with very straight hair. Or they dye their own hair blonde or put blonde or red highlights in it. In short, all their whining about being so put upon by whitey is total BS.
The school where I substitute has had a recent infusion of black kids. The jr high girls (most of them) obviously spend a lot of time on their hair. Some with weaves, some with what to my eyes look like Micky (or Minnie) Mouse ears fashioned from their hair. I guess it gives them something to do.
What the heck? Weird, weird stuff happens in the Democrat-controlled big cities. Glad I am not anywhere near one.
"Ooh! Its like mink!"
Beautiful
I’ve never even heard of someone trying to do that. What weirdo would want to?
I have some better game ideas—
white devils with Pitchforks poking innocent black people
white cops framing innocent black people
Victim Characters—Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and Colin Kaepernick
Cause if we’re going to create hate whitey video games, lets do it up right!
I have no idea. You might ask Joe Biden, he seems to know.
Except for a rare curious child, I have NEVER seen anyone touch a black woman’s hair. And little kids will touch any braids, poofy hair, strange colors, bangles. So this game is based on a lie, since there aren’t white people going “oh, let me pet the black person’s hair”.
It isn’t like you’re pregnant and a fraction of the population treats you like a Buddha statue.
I read that quickly and thought it said pigments of imagination.

But what happens when players enter the website?
I wish I had hair that people wanted to touch!
Fondle a Brillo pad and you’ve got it covered.
My cousin had platinum blonde hair. While my uncle was stationed in Japan while serving in the Air Force, they took her into town one day. They finally had to stop into a shop and buy her a black wig because so many Japanese were reaching out and yanking on her hair to see if it was real.
In fact there is some hair that looks like DOG TURDS that i back away from as to not catch Mange from it...
