WASHINGTON National Right to Life today endorsed pro-life Judge Roy Moore (R) in the Alabama special election to serve out the term of Jeff Sessions, who vacated the post in February to become U.S. Attorney General. Moore defeated Sen. Luther Strange, who was appointed to temporarily fill the vacancy, in a special primary earlier this year. Moore faces pro-abortion Democrat Doug Jones in the December 12 general election.
Judge Roy Moores position on life reflects the true values of Alabamas voters, said Karen Cross, National Right to Life political director. There is a stark contrast between Judge Moore, who supports legal protection for unborn children, and Doug Jones, who supports abortion for any reason until birth. Alabama voters concerned with the protection of the most vulnerable members of the human family should vote to send Judge Roy Moore to the U.S. Senate.
In a letter to Judge Moore announcing the endorsement, National Right to Life cited his support of pro-life legislative efforts such as the Hyde Amendment and the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. National Right to Life also recognized Moores longstanding commitment to pro-life principles and for speaking up on behalf of the unborn and their mothers.
In pro-life areas of the country, like Alabama, Democratic candidates must have pro-life voters in order to win. However they must also appease the pro-abortion masters of the Democratic Party. As witnessed earlier this year, Democratic National Committee Chairman Tom Perez announced that the DNC would only support candidates who support an extreme abortion agenda calling for unrestricted abortion for any reason including late abortions after 20 weeks and taxpayer funding of abortion.
The most ridiculous evidence of this took place earlier this year when West Virginia Democratic Senator Joe Manchin appeared in a picture holding a Planned Parenthood sign that read, I stand with Planned Parenthood. Manchin later appeared in a picture with a pro-life group holding a sign that read, We dont need Planned Parenthood.
Manchin, who claims to be pro-life, has a 25% pro-life voting record in the 115th Congress. There are similar situations in other parts of the country where Democratic senators must have pro-life votes to win including Indiana Sen. Joe Donnelly (25% pro-life voting record), Pennsylvania Sen. Bob Casey (0% pro-life voting record), and North Dakota Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (25% pro-life voting record.) They will seek to get pro-life votes while trying to please the pro-abortion masters of the Democratic Party.
This radical abortion litmus test comes from the Democratic Party that is backing Doug Jones in his campaign against pro-life Judge Roy Moore, added Cross. But they cannot beat the infrastructure and grassroots base of National Right to Life, its state affiliates, including Alabama Right to Life, which can respond quickly anywhere in the country. For that reason, we are confident Alabama voters will elect Roy Moore on December 12. Alabama, Judge Roy Moore
See post 17. I stand corrected. I might not agree with posting the same thing to multiple threads but that’s your prerogative,
Alabama press lies and are liberal pushers of poison thoughts/opinions. They have a personal axe to grind and are socially sick disgusting perverts. Yeah they are the media. I really do think Moore wins by 8 and it should have been 20 without the outright lies. Being a previous Judge, I hope Moore bankrupts his accusers with libel/slander suits.
National Republican Party and the national republican senate committee need to go down also. Thank goodness for the local party for staying strong against Big Luther and the spoiled cry babies.
