As a former EMT I call “horse hockey”.
It’s got nothing to do with EMTs, so your opinion is worth about as much as mine.
That said, when I took CPR earlier this year, the (female) instructors did say that for women in cardiac arrest, bras with metal underwires must be removed before using an AED (automated external defib). I have wondered what this must look like to a passerby.
