Good, keep them in China and let the Chinese judicial system deal with them. After they spend a few years in jail there, they can come back and appreciate the USA.

In fact, I wish there was a petition I could sign asking the Chinese government to treat them like they would their own citizens caught shoplifting. It would be unfair to their people to do otherwise.
I lived in Spain for three years when I was a kid because my dad was stationed there in the Air Force. We lived in the local little town "on the economy" as they called it, instead of base housing, which at the time, there was none.
Living in the midst of the local population and their culture was a big eyeopener for me.
But to my point. I was never so glad to land at McGuire AFB in New Jersey when we returned. Even at a young age, I realized how fortunate I was to live in the US and all of its appurtenant advantages. Many people who have never been outside the US, do not realize how good we have it here.
Unfortunately for these three athletes, they will find out the hard way how different China is from the US.
