NFL players who have been protesting social issues during the national anthem have requested a formal mediation session with the league, and quarterback Colin Kaepernick has agreed to attend the meeting.

The NFL has become a spoof of itself; it would be hilarious if it didn't involve one of America's pastimes. Perhaps some intelligent entrepreneur will start a
new professional football league [the Murdoch's?] that actually obeys its own rules and holds its players to stable standards.
I suspect many fans are doing what I am doing: writing off the NFL as a lost cause and keeping half an eye on its self-destruction. ☠️ Ptooooey!
