To: who_would_fardels_bear
So many places now refer to themselves as "Grill and Bar" rather than "Bar and Grill". I guess those wimpy institutions are embarrassed to be selling alcohol at all.
I guess it depends on which side their bread they think is buttered. I see “Bar and Grill,” and I tend to suppose that the food is an afterthought. As to the alcohol, the Bible implies caution to be on the abstemious side, so not everyone is on the lookout for a restaurant whose main selling point is not food.

It's just silly to my mind. It's like calling something a "Breakfast and Bed" because you want to emphasize the breakfast over the bed.

No. It's a "Bed and Breakfast" because that is what it has been called for over a century.

No. It's a "Bar and Grill" or its just a "Restaurant". Calling it a "Grill and Bar" is just plain stupid.
