Apparently, it was Schumacher’s idea to subtly (like a sledgehammer) make Corey Haim’s character gay in The Lost Boys: the Rob Lowe poster on a teenage boy’s wall; the “Born to Shop” t-shirt. I could throw in his failure to appreciate Jami Gertz, but maybe that was more because she was half-vampire.
