Unfortunately Virginia, by having off-year elections, is NOT the hill to die on, especially with New Jersey pretty much considered a Democrat lock.

Virginia is the ONLY state having a competitive race for governor or Senator this November (i.e., no Senators are up this off-year), so Virginia is a NATIONAL ELECTION regarding its implications. If the people of Virginia don’t like that, they should change their election cycle and join the 35 or so other states that have governorship elections on even-numbered mid-term years (with 2018 being next), then Virginia will be treated as a local/regional election.

So, being that Virginia is National Election, the conclusions will be one of the following:
1) If the RINO wins, the Democrats will be in DEEP SHIITE and have some real work ahead just to survive as a national party.

2) If the RINO loses in a close race due to Republican purists staying home, a total of 10,000 people (nearly all in Virginia) will get the right message - which is that nominating RINOs will cause much of the base to stay at home. The other 349,990,000 Americans will be told that VIRGINIA REJECTED TRUMP...and that Republicans better stand up to Trump if they don’t want to also go down.

Again, this is due to Virginia’s election cycle - we accomplish NOTHING for our side if we let the RINO lose - instead we give the Democrat Party JUST WHAT THEY NEED going into 2018, a MAJOR VICTORY OVER TRUMP (regardless of what the 10,000 insiders actually know).
