“I will not give Rovian RINO Gillispie and the Establishment global cartel the satisfaction.”

I guess Trump could have done similar...run as a Third Party in 2016 because the Republican Party is so corrupt.

People here would have felt GREAT about that, people here would be THRILLED that Trump was TEACHING THE REPUBLICANS A LESSON by not being a part of that corruption.

They would be thrilled, thrilled until Jan. 21, 2017 when they saw Hillary being sworn in...

Thankfully Trump did what was best for the country, even if he had to hold his nose at all filth he had to deal with on the way.

I also maintain that if you don’t vote, you have absolutely no right to voice one word of complaint. I hope our friends who are sitting this out think about that.

As one who is intending to sit this one out (Virginia), I can assure you that I am not thinking at all about your opinion as to whether I have the right to voice "one word" of complaint. In fact, I will complain if I choose to, and will be perfectly within my rights in doing so. There is no way, on God's green earth, that I am voting for Gillespie. I would have held my nose and voted for Stewart, even though I don't trust him at all. As it is, I will probably vote libertarian, or simply leave the top choice blank.

The only thing worse that Gillispie losing is Gillispie winning. Killing off RINOs is the prime objective at this point.

Yep, you feed a bad habit you get more of it.........

“Why move to California when you can import their government?”

I’m with you. First, RINOs are still generally better than Democrats. Second, PERCEPTIONS MATTER. If ANY REPUBLICAN wins Virginia, it will be perceived as a TRUMP VICTORY...the RINO part is lost in the noise. Sure, having a RINO running the state is worse than a MAGA, but nationally it is a HORRIBLE DEFEAT for the Left...it will kill their fundraising and may well ignite a CIVIL WAR in the Democrat Party.

But if we let the Democrat win...then they will well-positioned going into 2018.

Unfortunately, even if the dem party dies, the moronic trash that make up the party remains. I look for a segment to throw off the pretense and declare themselves socialist democrats with Bernie as their idol. A Black Panther Party for radical blacks will emerge.

“As for Virginia, Gillispie will run a close one but Dems pull out at the last minute.”

With the help of a good number of no-shows on our side, I guess...

Worm eaters do more harm than they can imagine. Tantrums are no more attractive in Conservatives than liberals.

So, what is left if you let the rat party win. Contrary to what the media spins there are major differences between parties. The old media was the left wing that started the narrative that differences were negligible, because that is what the Kenyan vulture demanded—put all the blame for his stupidity, his hatred for America, and his Muslim promotionals on congress. Nothing was his fault, it was congress, all congress, and I am not buying it.

I can hold my nose on Gillespie because I am thinking long term ...

Thus implying that those who will not vote for Gillespie are not thinking long term. I would submit that this is precisely backward. People who vote for "Republicans" like Gillespie are the ones thinking short term, and are the ones who are dismissing any kind of long term strategy. In the short run, they get things like voting rules and redistricting, and possibly some other bones thrown our way. In the long run, they incalculably harm middle America's real and passionate opposition to the left's path of destruction.

I’m not voting for the “RINO King”. Forget it. I’m sitting it out.

The enemy of tolerable is perfect. By not voting, you're supporting democraps. There is no perfect candidate. Don't waste your vote. I would encourage you to vote for the less of two evils.

Once we take out the rat party, then we worry about the RINOs. Keep in mind that not a single republican voted for the welfare king’s Obamacare nightmare, not one.

Speculation about predicting future behavior of someone you don’t know is worth what?

Well it backfired on us when Trump was elected. Due to so many of us “sitting it out” - Trump hardly has anybody in Congress that will work with him.

“So are you saying that the MAGA voters are stoopid?”

Stoopid when it comes to voting...then YES. Stoopid overall, then NO.

The problem is that once you leave the 2% or so of Americans who are political junkies, what you find are part-timers - people who have much more interest in other things, and only think of politics at election time, if even then. Run a 3rd party to split the Republican vote, and enough of those part-time Republicans don’t see the implications of supporting the 3rd Party, so the Democrat wins, which is EXACTLY what happened to Oliver North when he ran for Senate from Virginia. The RINOs didn’t like North, so they got a credible 3rd Party person on the ballot, and they succeeded - the Democrat won.

We moved to VA from New Jersey to escape the chaos of that once beautiful state.
Now, we are witnessing the great state of Virginia, which I thought would be our refuge, becoming the New Jersey of the South.
I could cry. I not only am voting for Ed, but I donated to him. I know who Ed is from his days as RNC leadership, yet I shall NEVER vote for a D, and I sure as he!! will not stay home.

“The only thing worse that Gillispie losing is Gillispie winning. Killing off RINOs is the prime objective at this point.”

That’s what PRIMARIES are for, and how Cantor was dispatched.

For this election, the ONLY CONCLUSION the media will present to the country is that “TRUMP was killed off”...and I guess some people are willing to throw Trump under the bus because of local politics.

You seem to be playing mainly to the rat party. Your inaction is precisely what they hope for. Let the old media paint the picture that all candidates are the same, and who doesn’t vote, the republicans, and the rats win again. Does the media ever refer to the demrats as DINOS? Never.

Due to so many of us “sitting it out” - Trump hardly has anybody in Congress that will work with him.

Trump has a majority in the Senate and the House. Trump has nobody to work with him because so many voted for the lesser of two evils. Trump has nobody to work with, because when the silent majority does come out to vote, they are faced with awful choices (92, 94, 02, 10, 14), and, ultimately, find that they have been politically neutered because the "opposition" party is made up almost entirely of people who despise them.

Had people been thinking long term, going all the way back to 88, then the Republican Wing of the Democratic Party would have withered on the vine. Instead, because at every turn, we have fallen for the trap of thinking that our snake is better than their snake, the Republican Wing of the Democratic Party has almost completely captured the role of "opposition" party, leaving the bulk of the American people with no real possibility of voicing their opposition.

I understand the point you are making...........maybe we can all get together and play another round of rinse and repeat and confuse more future republican voters of what their representation is supposed to represent!
