Strangely enough I asked the clinic my husband & have been going to for like 12 years, what my blood type was & the nurse practitioner said I would need a blood test because they don’t know that.

I still find that very hard to believe. What if I had an emergency????!!! Something seems very off there.

Not to worry. In a true emergency you would get O Negative red cells and AB plasma. It’s really not that common to be blood-typed as a matter of course unless you have some condition that may require transfusion.
