Todd Harris and his company, Branded Pictures Entertainment have optioned the motion picture rights to Big Guns, a satirical novel about the gun industry by former New York congressman Steve Israel. The book, which has a street date of April 17, 2018 from Simon & Schuster, is on a fast-track for development, as gun legislation continues to be a galvanizing national issue.

Another year and another movie bashing gun rights. It would be more entertaining if the production company set up a webcam, stacked all the money this movie is going to cost and light it on fire a la Joker. Making this type of movie is the same as burning money. Jessica Chastain made a gun control movie released in late 2016 and it earned a whopping $9.1 MM off a $13 MM production and probably another $20 MM marketing.
