You are very wrong. My sister has goats & the same breed of dog to protect them. The dog WILL NOT go into the house or their office at night or in inclement weather..in other words any time the goats might be in danger.

They are bred to protect their “charges” and they do so spectacularly...don’t know what they are thinking...but it must be similar to a parent not leaving a child alone in a potentially dangerous situation.

When he said that the dog wouldn’t have come with them he wasn’t kidding (no pun intended for those who might get it...lol).

Would love to know how they survived the fire; wish the dog could talk:)

Maybe the dogs dug a tunnel.

I read that wolves will sometimes dig tunnels to hide in during a fire.

Maybe there was some kind of cave nearby.
