I got kind of sick the last couple years so I lost my tiny little bit of gardening mojo.
All I have to do is look at at a plant and I kill it. I swear I can’t grow anything from seed anymore!
I gave up in spring, hubs bought starts and took over but neither one of us has ever been good at this.
So I’m going to throw everything at the wall and see if anything will stick.
The hugelkultur bed only has one spot to fill in. I about did myself in last Friday trying to get it done. I still need to put manure and mulch down but am waiting for the smoke to die down.
I started a bunch of winter type stuff strictly to see if I could even start anything anymore. I either water too much or too little so my seedlings either rot or shrivel up. Now that I’m feeling better maybe I’ll be able to keep up with things better. (Got thyroid meds dialed in, lost 25 lbs, did physical therapy and got a lot more active)
I started a bunch of seeds in paper towels and sandwich bags. Most of them are trying but I think I waited a tadbit too long to try and do something with them. I have my doubts-the tutorials look much more promising than IRL.
I have several self watering setups-a cup within a cup and water bottle-both with wicks and the egg carton in a tray set up. If anything lives I’m going to try and find out which method is best. I don’t want to waste a ton of money if I still can’t grow anything.
Hello Everyone. I’m “sprouting” some passion flower stems. I’ve read it takes 3 months for roots to begin. I’m looking for seeds, they take a year to germinate. If anyone knows more about these flowers, please advise. I’m going to cover a couple of flowers with netting to capture the seeds. Is this a good thing to do? Any and all help is appreciated.
