The mockingbirds got more of my tomatoes this year than I’d like. Now, thanks to a sudden burst of warm weather, I have twenty-five-and-counting volunteer tomato seedlings in the front yard. Part of me is tempted to dig ‘em up and overwinter them indoors. The rest is more sensibly hoping for a few more volunteers at the RIGHT time of year.
A long time ago, I planted some Sweet 100 cherry tomatoes from seed before I lost my mojo.
We still get volunteers every year.
