Now in the first two weekends of October, the No. 2, 3, 7 and 8 teams have fallen to middle-of-the-pack conference opponents: Last week Oklahoma fell to Iowa State before Michigan lost to Michigan State; on Friday night Clemson suffered a 2724 loss to Syracuse that sent shockwaves through the college football world, and before anyone could fully process the impact of that result, Washington State laid an egg on the road at Cal, dropping from the ranks of the unbeaten with a 373 loss.
Lets take a look at the ripple effect of Friday nights upsets from three different levels: the losing teams, the conferences they had sat atop and the national title picture at large.

USF is pretty good, so is UCF.
It’s sad for us Gator fans to realize we may be the fifth best team in the State of Florida.

It’s the year of the DAWG
I’ve hated Syracuse since they became “The Orange.” their mascot is a color!
Funny to think that the last time UF played a non-conference game outside of Florida at an opposing team’s stadium was at Syracuse.......in 1992. And they killed us.
I remember that butt kicking in a dome with fake grass. SOS didn’t make any excuses I’m sure.
I remember that game like it was yesterday. Syracuse ran back the opening kick-off for a touchdown and it didn’t get any better.
As a Bama fan I took personal delight in Clemson’s loss. On to next week... Rammer Jammer Yellow Hammer :)
