Agreed. If you fix the phone with lousy parts, who gets blamed when something subtle goes wrong as a result? Apple. So, Apple prevents crappy repairs however possible.

Agreed. If you fix the phone with lousy parts, who gets blamed when something subtle goes wrong as a result? Apple. So, Apple prevents crappy repairs however possible. Kind of like GM/Ford/Fiat-Chrysler etc.. won't warranty a car that's been repaired with third-party parts, not using OEM parts.
