I’m in favor of the boycott, but it seems to have stabilized for now. Everyone who is going to get angry has gotten angry, the rest will put up with whatever the players do.
So, the NFL is wounded, but not too badly so far.

Can all these high flying TV and NFL executives really be that dumb? First, they spent a couple of weeks seeking some middle ground that doesn’t exist on this issue: the locked arms foolishness, the hiding under their beds (in the tunnel), and silly combinations of standing and kneeling for a show of some unspecified “unity”.
Now, the genuises have decided to just not show the national anthem performance on TV. Yeah, that’ll solve everything and the fans will all just forget all about it.

However, despite a potential move by the NFL to disallow protest by players during the national anthem, one thing you would have not seen on TNF on CBS and the NFL Network last night was the playing of the national anthem.This was the end game all along.
