A few weeks ago there was an article that NASA (or some agency) was looking at ways to cool it down by drilling holes and maybe pumping /venting to defuse it -— maybe that’s why there’s an accelerated timeline of expectation.....
Anyone who thinks he can cool a large magma dome with water is an idiot. It is hard enough to cool a steel ingot merely the size of a pickup truck.
