The prospective jurors now will approach the bench with the attorneys to discuss their issues.

After that, the judge will review strikes from the attorneys and will seat a jury from the first 14 jurors who remain unstruck.

Perhaps he was down being considered for jury selection. If so, I’m sure he said that he has an open mind on this and will render his jury vote considering only the trial evidence.
