On Monday, ESPN suspended SportsCenter anchor Jemele Hill for two weeks after a series of tweets critical of Dallas Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones’ stance on standing for the national anthem—as well as calling for a boycott of Cowboys advertisers. The network said Hill had violated the company’s social media policy.

As you might remember, ESPN seemingly went to bat for Hill last month, after she slammed President Trump on Twitter, calling him a “bigot” and “white supremacist.” That said, there were reports that the network had, at the time, attempted to replace Hill on that evening’s SportsCenter broadcast, but received pushback from her co-anchor Michael Smith, among others.

ESPN learned a valuable lesson yesterday.

In 2017 the word “racism” has been redefined as “telling a black person something they don’t want to hear.”

Your absence from today’s show violates your contract with us. Unless you can provide a doctor’s written excuse for your absence, please take this as notice of your two week suspension.

His contract almost surely contains this clause. It's how Fox was able to ditch Joan Rivers when she was not showing up for her show.

SJW's are trying to upend the employer/employee dynamic.

Today's activists believe that the company owes its success to them, so they get to make the rules.

The company believes that the talent's success is due to working for the company, so the company gets to make the rules.

In today's environment, I can't guess which side will blink first.

It is amazing the hubris these people have and they are allowed to get away with it.
