They won’t learn unless they get burned really badly.
Goodell must get fired—players must get fired—managers must get fired—ESPN executives must get fired.
This needs to hurt—or it didn’t happen.

They could approach Rush Limbaugh with an offer to make him be an owner, for starters.
At this point all it really does is switch which group is maddest at the NFL. If they force this, BLM and the left will also boycott, which means most people will then be not watching.

Nope.. too late. The barn door is wide open and the horses are far afield.
The damage is done and hopefully the NFL’s death will commence.
All businesses have rules/standards in written form so the employees have no excuse for not knowing them and the business has legal standing for having made the rules clear - these days, I’d wager most go over them during an in-brief and get a signature that the employees has been briefed and received a copy.
I have no doubt that a substantial number of players will ignore the rule and kneel anyway (while howling that Goodell and the owners are RAAAAAACISTS when they get fined or suspended).
The stupid is just too strong with them.
The reporter has tipped their hand that these protests are much more a knee-jerk reaction to Trump than any deep-seated support for Kaepernick & Co.
