There is such a thing as maternal instinct. While it can go beyond an actual mother,it’s much more natural and common in females. That’s how we are designed. It’s not so much that males can’t have it, but it’s less common and then, directed toward your own offspring. IMHO gays are often self obsessed and much more inner directed rather than wanting any family. That’s not to say they are incapable of it.
