FULL TITLE: Gay fitness instructor 'killed 18-month-old daughter he called "Satan in a baby grow" just two weeks after formally adopting her with his company director husband'
Matthew Scully-Hicks, 31, is accused of killing 18-month old Elsie after 'assaulting and abusing' her over several months.
The couple first adopted Elsie in September 2015 and the process was finalised nearly eight months later.
But less than two weeks later little Elsie died after suffering traumatic head injuries.
She died at University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, after the decision was taken to switch off her ventilator when doctors decided she would not survive her traumatic head injuries.
After Elsie's tragic death police examined electronic devices owned by Matthew Scully-Hicks - including his iPad.
The court heard on September 22, 2015 - just 12 days after having Elsie - he sent a message to a friend saying: 'I'm going through hell with Elsie!
'Mealtimes and bedtime are like my worst nightmare at the moment.
'She's been up there screaming for 10 minutes non stop. She's just stopped but I doubt that's the last I'll hear tonight.'
That evening he also sent a message to husband Craig calling Elsie 'a psycho.'
On September 29, 2016, he sent the message to Craig describing Elsie as 'Satan dressed up in a baby grow.'

I care what people think but not enough to keep me from venting the truth about most situations.
One time we got a call for a young lady who was feeling "light headed". When we knocked on her door she yelled for us to come in. We found her laying on top of her bed completely naked. She was posed in a way that looked like she was a centerfold model.
My driver who was around 50 at the time and had thick glasses stood stunned staring at her. My third man who had the bag with oxygen, BP cuff and other medical supplies yelled at him and told him to go find a towel. He came back with a wash rag. I asked him to find something larger.
I asked her what she was doing when she started feeling light headed. She said she was riding her exercise bicycle. So my driver who was still in a state of shock, said, “So you were riding your bicycle in the nude?” She retorted, “No, don't be silly! I took my clothes off when I laid on the bed because I felt hot.” Then she told us how she had recently lost a bunch of weight and had cosmetic surgery.
So when we were pushing the gurney with her on it into the back of the ambulance, “ I said very sincerely, “I hope you start feeling better and congratulations on your weight loss and cosmetic surgery. It turned out really great.” She squealed back, “Oh, thank you so much!”
So on the way back to the station my crew was giving me a really bad time saying what I said to her as we put her into the back was inappropriate and that I could get into big trouble. I said that it seemed to me that she didn't actually need to be transported and that the entire episode was a call for attention. I said that I wasn't very likely to get into difficulty for giving a compliment. And indeed a few days later we received a gushy thank you card.
But I thought it was very interesting how afraid my crew was to say anything about her appearance after all of the sexual harassment training we had received. I guess they actually were paying attention after all.
The child should have been rescued after the first incident of abuse when her leg was broken in two places..........But no, that was just an accident.
Can two men go off by themselves in the woods and ten months later come back with a child that they are the natural parents of? No. Two women? No.
Then from where does a “natural right” for “same sex” couples to “have children” come from? No place.
If there is a “natural right” to have children it is part of the natural ability of a human couple to be the natural parents of the child.
That is not to say humans cannot make exceptions to that, but in as much we are not talking about natural rights, those exceptions are a choice of society that does not stem from any natural rights, and there are no natural rights that can mandate those exceptions MUST be made.
Yes, if you give up certain natural rights, like pro-creation with your spouse, it stands to reason that society may determine you have chosen to give up another right - to be a parent.

I know. I’m worried about the boy and about the role he is playing. One would hope that social services intervened. Clearly the working parent’s judgement is questionable as well and the home cannot be thought of as safe for the boy.

They do but you see in the adoption industry beggars can’t be choosers, more so when it comes to infants. As any couple who has ever adopted a baby and they will tell you. Often it’s so hard to adopt a baby (because of abortion) that you’ll take what ever sex of a child is available. Guess they found that out as the stole this child from a loving, heterosexual couple.
BTW in Ungland they don’t like child abusers in prison either.
