I was chatting with a girl in her early 20’s. She had applied for food stamps and was complaining about getting 8 bucks a month. I asked her where she thought the money was coming from and she said the government. I asked her where the government gets the money and SHE DIDN’T KNOW. I said you pay taxes, right? THAT is the money. She was floored.
She must have been making fairly good money if all she qualified for was $8 a month.
Seniors making 1200 on SS it’s about $10 and not worth the trouble to do it, it all goes to Illegals/Refugees now. Had a Case Worker state that, she was hot under the collar over it.
