They’re about the only insurance company without amusing commercials. State Farm had Jake the call center guy. The Farmers vignettes of odd insurance events - funny. The various GEICO ads, the gecko, the Neanderthals, and others - funny. The Mayhem ads, funny.
And then there’s Flo. She’s like your old girlfriend’s annoying friend you used to have to put up with at group events. Not funny. I am amazed she is still on the air.
I noticed a pattern. Only female icon...not funny. Irritating yes, not funny. So marketing for women?

Flo is definitely past her use by date.
The first couple of years there were some amusing spots but now they are beyond bad.
So bad I hit the mute button AND head for the head.
State Farms Jake had his day and...gone.
Same with the Neanderthals and other ads.
The ad agency for Farmers morphed their guy from an instructor at the Farmers academy to the odd events museum guy before he got stale.
They agency that does the GEICO gekko is good too.
The Drive Time gals are more amusing than Flo.
Time for Flo to go.
