Sex Pistols, Clash... pistols 76. Clash 78-79 London Calling, all of us hated “Combat Rock”. Petty outlasted all of them and still same age range to a delta of plus minus 5 years.

Great bands late 70’s early 80’s; Petty, U2, amazing to think about Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel and Genesis, Styx, Prince and Madonna.

Petty outlived everybody above excluding U2 imho.
