We spent a couple of months in drydock in Long Beach In 1970 and one of the sailors we palled around with had a 1968 Firebird 400. It was dark green with black interior and a 4 speed. The guy was a Hawaian with the nickname, naturally, Pineapple. Pineapple let me drive his 400 on the PCH and it was a blast. The weight was real biased to the front and when you got on it in first or second, it was all tire smoke and axle tramp.

Had the same car but with a drop top and automatic trans. Sold it to a sailor for $800 in 1976. Would love to have it back now.
