In reality they should be the records for a mass murder investigation.
This is like our Founding Fathers when they were faced with the reality of slavery. They could not stop it but they knew it was wrong. In order to pass our Founding documents they had to work around some hot-headed, loud mouths from SC and GA.
The best they could do was to vote that they would stop slaves from being imported to the United States after 1808.
