Both my parents were quite abusive. So I did not miss them much. Then I learned you got to grieve the abuse, to stay healthy.
You have the let go of the good and the bad, which leaves memories. M. Scott Peck said getting older is about giving stuff up.
Bless you. Pray for her.
I am very sorry you lost your mom. I am happy she is now whole and no longer suffering. But yes, you are adrift right now, though Gd has you and I pray He comforts you as He does all mourners. One hour at time, you will get though this. Deepest sympathies.
My condolences. Lost my father last year at Thanksgiving, a bit like losing the north star. At first, all I could do was be thankful I had a father I was missing— a lot of people don’t. He didn’t.
As the year has progressed, and things needed handled, I’ve tried to deal with his matters as he would have wanted. It’s been like seeing the world through his eyes, and brought my understanding of him to an even greater appreciation.
Rough seas ahead, no question. But not impossible. One day at a time.
Again, my condolences for your loss. You’re a sharp person and I suspect you’re about to come into your own. Be well.
I remember well the day my Mom passed.
I felt like my link to the Earth was gone.
Prayers for you my FRiend.
Mine did too, but I didn't find out until decades later.
Hadn't seen her for over 60 years.
I’m so sorry you lost your mom. I’m sure she would not want you to be sad. Gather together the good from your relationship with her and be thankful she was your mother and that you shared a special love for one another.
may God Bless
I’m so sorry you’re hurting - you’re in my prayers Lorianne...
It’s hard.
So sorry for your loss. Love never dies. I lost my mom in 2008. Adrift is a good word but it will pass. She’ll just be with you in a different way.
Lord God Above, please comfort Lorianne in her grief. Amen!
So sorry. Prayers for your Mother and her loved ones.
My sister, brother, and I lost our Mom and Dad within a year. We are thankful they taught us to love GOD, family, and country. Both served in WWII.
May the LORD fill You with His Presence and give you rest and peace. May He comfort all on this post who have lost their parents.
MATTHEW 5:4
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
Sorry for your loss. Prayers for your mother.
You and the repose of your mother are in my prayers. God bless.
Very Sorry.
God bless you and your family.
My she rest in peace in God’s arms.
I’m sorry for your loss. I know that even when you know the time is short, it is still a shock when they do pass. Praying for God’s comfort now and in the days ahead.
So sorry, Lorianne. Many of us know the loneliness of losing Mom, and we pray for your comfort and strength.
Prayers up, For you and mom.
Lost mine in 2011. She was 91. What a lousy son I was for her. She deserved better. I’ll never get over it.
Peace.
