There’s a lot more things to be worrying about than vaccinations when it comes to your kid. Indoctrination for one thing.
Used be quite a few FReepers that would be okay with this because they that people who don’t get vaccinations are causing others to die.
Anti Vaxer scum. Lock her up.
Who's going to be sick with it if everyone's been protected against it?
An awkward issue, but not as awkward for those who are older and remember. I missed a month from elementary school because I had red measles (which used to be one of the leading causes of death in the nation). I remember the sugar cubes that we lined up for with the polio and smallpox vaccine, and were glad to take it, knowing those who suffered because they didn’t have the chance. I have a cousin who as a child was severely ill with diphtheria. We, as a people, have better health and longer lives today because of vaccines. Younger folks may not understand that as readily.
There are limits. There are a few valid issues. But if you don’t want any vaccines at all for your child, fine. Go raise him in a country that doesn’t require them. Don’t piggyback on the responsible actions of the many.
Why didn’t the judge just tell the dad to do it during his time of visitation?
You can have low vaccination rates or open borders that bring in people with diseases we eliminated via vaccination plus new ones.
Pick one.
In the past, there was a thing called a family, and people called fathers who led them. Now we have everything decided by judges.
“Bredow, a mother of two, has one week to get her son vaccinated and if she does not comply with the order of an Oakland County judge, she will be thrown in jail.”
I don’t know. I’m kinda leaning toward dragging the fascist judge into the street, dipping him in honey and planting his fat nazi ass in an anthill.
Would this judge ever demand this of an illegal alien child?
Religious exemptions exist in most states. If there is an outbreak, the parents of those exempt are notified to keep their kid at home.
All she has to do is say she’s a Jehovah’s Witness, or one of the other denominations that have objections to injections.
