I think you and I are saying the same thing. Of course NFL players have Free Speech rights. The pettiness today, though, had nothing to do with Free Speech since there is no government restriction.

It is more than a little troubling to me that many people see today's temper tantrum in Free Speech terms -- going so far as saying NFL players don't have Free Speech rights. Today's incidents had nothing to do with Free Speech one way or the other since the government wasn't involved.

Yes.

This blurring of the real issue is deliberate on the part of the MSM.

That people can’t see what should be a “no-brainer” is what is so stunning.

About half the nation has allowed themselves to become idiots.

They will lose their freedoms and become 199% managed slaves.

SSS Two, Thank you for your patience and courtesy in explaining the 1st Amendment to some otherwise misguided Freepers. If it is this hard to explain on Free Republic, can you imagine trying this on Dim Dummies?

I started to join in, but you were doing a good job. And, I’m undoubtedly less patient than you.

Freepers like you make this a great spot on the internet. All the best.

Geez, though, the 1st Amendment is not that hard to understand. It doesn’t create any right at all. It just protects our already existing God given right. Don’t EVEN bring up how it now applies to the individual States!
