Warning - this is a graphic video. It shows the full story!
IMHO...good shoot if I'm on the jury.
The dude definitely wanted to commit suicide, whether he knew it consciously or not.
I wonder if the copy didn't shoot him as he advanced because he wasn't sure what was behind the guy. Once he got him with a wall behind him, buh-by.
Interesting to see real life actions after being shot compared to ludicrous Hollywood drama, speechmaking, etc.
Cop fired 6-7 times. Saw no blood. Still standing until the last shot. What kind of bullets?
There is no shooting of anyone that is actally visible on this video. What the soon to be deceased did to make the cop fire is not visible. This is a crap video like most or all of the others you see these days. Oh, the guy with the camera should have put it down and helped the cop especially since he failed to actually capture the most important part of the drama.
If you get into a grappling fight with a cop and pull anything off his belt and leave the gun in the cops hand, you are probably going to die on the spot.
1) goto 0:50 on clip
2) click on "setting" and then "speed" to slowdown to .25 speed
3)View 0:50-0:52 segment to see puff of smoke ejecting at high speed from perp's hand
4) Repeat step 3, till your blind anti-cop passes and you can see the truth
4) Repeat step 3, till your blind anti-cop BIAS passes and you can see the truth
What apeared to be smoke at 0:51-0:52 is - when viewing the clip past this point - actually some sort of reflection on the camera lense or out-of-focus material waving in the top left of the video-picture.
Apologies for the misinformation.
Meh, good shoot.
Officer was backing up like hell, taser poised, the scum was advancing 100%.
The guy was LOOKING for a fight, he got it.
Had I a badge I would have done exactly the same.
Advancing perp jerks at same time you hear a sharp, transient shooting noise.
I think he was TASED and it had no effect at all.
Looks like the officer did move incrementally up the force ladder.
Looks like a pretty good case of restraint, I’d say.
My Bad Cop experiences were TOTALLY different, I was totally submissive, respectful.
This guy was a good cop.
Whoops!
Hey I posted #12 and #13 after watching a different video of the same incident, which shows 12 or so seconds of BEFORE what was shown in this particular vid.
This one BEGINS at an unfair point:
We’re getting ripped off my this dishonest video, there was no reason for the editor to START it there.
THIS vid of this same incident begins at a point much more honest, I think.
The cop gave up LOTS of ground, this addict had lots of time to make his bad decision:

Moral to the story: Do what cops tell you, and you won’t get hurt. Worked for me for fifty years and I suspect it will work for me until the day I die.
No matter how right you think you are, the guy with the gun and the badge is in charge. If you don’t like what he did, call his Chief or take him to court.
We’ll put it on his gravestone.
Regardless.... good shoot. Give him a raise.
THIS IS EXACTLY WHY ALL OFFICERS SHOULD ALWAYS HAVE A PARTNER!!!
The man would be alive and the officer would not face going to jail...
