DeNiro has had a variety of roles, few or none of which I thought he was "great". (I anticipate some disagreement, here; and, that's fine w me. Whatever YOU think is fine w moi.)

Taxi Driver and Godfather part2 - De Niro was great, Been down hill ever since.
For my money DiNero was great in Godfather 2. He had to capture some of Brando to do the role and he was string and understated. One of my favorite all time performances. I also like Taxi driver and Casino. I believe he is one of the top ten actors of the last 50. I put Pacino ahead of him.
Also like Edward Norton, Anthony Hopkins and maybe a few others.
i tried to watch a few Di Nero comedies and was disappointed He is however great in gangster movies.
Pesci is the str of this movie for my money.
I watched on NF as i indicated earlier. So far it tacked in theaters. IMO because epos DiNeros angry anti-trump rants and vulgar language. DiNero never has impressed me in real life he seems like a slow lump on talk shows.
