For the entire eight years under the Bush presidency, John McCain was always the MSM’s go to guy whenever they wanted someone to criticize Bush. Thus the moniker "The Maverick".......

Then throughout the presidential primary it was always "The Maverick" this and "The Maverick" that...........The MSM knowingly gave us John McCain for the presidential candidate in 2008.

The last time one ever heard the MSM refer to John McCain as “THE MAVERICK” was the last month leading up to his presidential loss back in 2008
