I’ve flown in the 747 and 777 several times. To me, the Boeing 777 is very much like the 747 without the upper section and with two engines instead of the four which is on the 747.
The inside of the 777 was almost exact to the 747.

I have flown on a 777 once which probably isn’t much of an experience to compare and contrast. I admire the plane even when seeing it at airports and the reduction of engines from 4 to 2 is one major variable. FWIW, I also enjoy images, though rare to see them in person in current times, of the L-1011. But the 747 is the measure of greatness.
