Jesus said He didn’t know. If you are contradicting a clear, plain statement of Jesus, you’re in error. (Jesus accepted certain limitations during His incarnation. This is why Philippians tells us Jesus did not consider equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant and being made in the likeness of men. Following the brief period of the Incarnation, Jesus resumed the position/role He had occupied prior to the “emptying.”
Correct. When Jesus walked on this earth, Phil 2: 6-11 was in effect.
Now, lets look at a typical Jewish wedding at the time of Jesus. The father pays the bride price and the Bride agrees to the wedding. The Bridegroom goes home, usually to the fathers house and builds a room for him and the bride to consummate the wedding. When the Father approves of the dwelling, he sends the son to get his bride. The groom told the bride I must go prepare a place for you that where I am you may be also. The Father says when to get her. This denotes this whole thing is designed like a Jewish wedding.
Now, when is the wedding to be? He has to go get his bride and bring her home.( Rapture) When does Scripture say it is? The Last Trump. When is the Last Trump? Feast of Trumpets.( Lev 23)Who wrote Lev 23? The Word. Who is the Word? Jesus.
Just like "No One knows the day or the hour" means Trumpets. Trumpets is 2 days and there is no moon, then there is a new moon and Trumpets begins sometime in that 2 day span. Jesus lacked NOTHING. He wrote it. There is no plan "B".
All this debate comes from Christians not being taught Jewish things. To understand Jewish culture, laws, and customs, opens the Bible up to greater understanding. It's not necessary for salvation, but the knowledge you gain from understanding what Jesus was doing and saying is tremendous. It takes months of study of the feasts. It take months of study of Hebrew words. You learn early to take 2 or more verses to make up your mind and not take one verse out of context.
Just as one example of what I'm talking about, Look at Mat 25:6. It says " And at midnight a cry was heard: Behold the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!
I hope we can all agree this is the Rapture. Look at the last word "him". Now go to your Strongs and look that word up. I have G846. G846 says "a baffling wind;backward". How does a pronoun get to a backward baffling wind? IMO, the Holy Spirit takes us up to meet the bride in the air, but the KJV says "him".
If you can't accept Jesus as omniscient, can we at least agree that the "Last Trump" happens on Feast of Trumpets? By repeating over and over that no one knows the day or hour, we give the impression that no one can know. That's just not true! I know, and if I know, Jesus knows. Jesus will come for His Bride on some Feast of Trumpets that has a sign in the heavens that looks something like Rev 12. If He is going to release chains and set people free, and return land to the original owner( Jesus), that has to be a Jubilee year( this is Jubilee this year). I'm NOT setting a date! I'm just saying that the sign is in heaven, It's Jubilee, and Trumpets is this week. He is not coming on some random date in January that's not a Feast Day.
Why do we need to know this? The Bible says we should be WATCHING!!! Do a word search for "watch" and read the verses relevant to the Rapture. They all indicate if you aren't watching you could be left behind. He will come as a thief in the night to those that don't watch for His return. Read Rev 2-3 and see all the churches save 2 will be left behind. One will go to heaven because they will die for Christ. The other is the Church of Brotherly love. Christ tells them they will be spared the "trial" to come to the whole earth. There will be more left behind than go. Noah was told 7 days before the rain fell to get in the Ark. Lot was removed from Sodom before the fire fell. Why is the church running around telling everyone to just sit tight because we can't know when He's coming? If I'm still here next Monday, fine! I will still be looking for next year at Trumpets to be going. I don't know how God will arrange for the Rev 12 sign again, but there is nothing to hard for God, ( unless you believe He doesn't know when He's getting married)
Just a thought,....How would you feel if you told your wife to be, that you are getting married next Saturday and you came for her and she wasn't dressed when you got there, hadn't fixed her hair, and told you she didn't know when you were coming? Anticipation of the Lamb's Wedding should be pretty high on our list as a Christian. Many that think they are going will be left where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. Most of the parables address this very subject.
