There is a green beach made up of olivine on the big Island of Hawaii. Hard to get to...but quite remarkable.

I’ve seen pictures, it’s neat. There are other olivine beaches in the Pacific, not surprising I guess, all volcanic islands of fairly recent origin. :^)

I have about a quarter baggie of that beach olivine. Meteorites can have olivine and have a few of those too, and bags of Peridot. Yet none of it has disappeared.
