I recently saw a web page which contained the stories of Golden Gate bridge jump survivors. (Yes, there are a *very* few.) The one that struck me was the fellow who, just as he cleared the bottom of the bridge, found himself thnking, "All the problems that I have are actually pretty solvable, except for this latest one: I just jumped off the Golden Gate Bridge!"
No telling if that thought usually occurs to any other jumpers, since most of them are not available to comment.
