It’s funny that I discovered Genesis and Peter Gabriel at the same time, without even realizing then Gabriel used to front Genesis.

I had heard the song “The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway”, but had no clue who did it. Once I found out it was Genesis, well, I was all in.

my early college days...1981-1982...the great musical awakening for me...genesis was at the top of that list.

I still reach for it now and again, although I must admit that music does not hold the allure/priority it once did...age/maturity thing, I guess...(unless I have a few beers in me... :)

nowdays, I mostly reach for the kindle before the headphones.

While I didn't learn about Genesis until the late 70s, I sort of lost track of them, but over the last couple of years, "rediscovered them" through the "cover band," Steve Hackett's "Genesis Revisited." Absolutely brilliant, it had me going back to Fox Trot & Nursery Crimes. If you get a chance to check out the videos for Genesis Revisited, do it, you won't be disappointed.
