We are both part of this 143 million people. Never had anything to do with Equafax. What a nightmare.
This info is per Equifax. I'm not saying to believe them, I'm just posting their supposed revised position.
#8 Triple AAA has that protection from guess who? Equafax....
I just signed up with AAA and noticed this.
And these friggin’ gummint donkeys want us to give up using CASH and conduct all our transactions with electronic funds? Say WHAT?!?
I’ll give up using CASH when they agree to pay me $5 million dollars, tax free, per year, for life, (in case of course if I suffer just ONE data breach or identity theft. ONE!
My understanding is if you sign up for the one year Equifax protection, after the first year you are automatically continued for a nice fee. You have to remember to discontinue to avoid the fee. Also Equifax owns the protection service. How convenient?
3) Clarification Regarding Automatic Sign-Up to TrustedID Premier
We are not requesting consumers credit card information when they sign up for the free credit file monitoring and identity theft protection we are offering to all U.S. consumers. Consumers who sign up for TrustedID Premier will not be automatically enrolled or charged after the conclusion of the complimentary year of TrustedID Premier.
Please believe me, I'm not defending them. Just trying to get as much accurate information as possible.
Thanks for the update. They are getting a lot of heat from their practices and looks like they are making adjustments.
